Datacenters Venlo & Nettetal offer different possibilities to realise co-location. In a private suite, private rack and shared rack, also in combination with a unique connection to the datacenter in Nettetal (Germany). Due to this, Systemec can offer a high availability of your data and applications!
Systemec owns datacenters in the Netherlands and one in Nettetal (Germany), both locations can be used as back-up location. Your valuable data will be backed-up in one of our locations in the Netherlands and/or Germany, which leads to maximum redundancy of your data. The locations use two separate energy networks; Enexis (NLD) and Stadtwerke Nettetal (GER). Due to this, there is a significant small chance that both energy networks will fail simultaneously. Because of this service, your data and applications have a very high uptime because it’s redundant availability in one of the datacenters.
We use a darkfiber connection to synchronize your data between the twin- Datacenters in real-time. The distance between the Dutch and German datacenters is less than seven kilometers. Due to that, there is no delay during the data transport, and you can take advantage of the two separate energy networks. For more details about our unique Twin-Datacenter concept, please contact us.
Systemec’s datacenters are carrier-neutral. Due to that you can use different data connection providers. The development of the datacenters is based on a ‘green thinking’ principle; this result in a PUE (Power Utility Efficiency) lower than 1.2. Our datacenter can be classified as TIER 3+. For more specifications please look at the table below.
In our datacenters Venlo & Nettetal we can provide each rack with 64 A. When you look at the picture above you can see, when the power supply fails, the redundant executed UPS systems will take over and keep the devices running. After that, the generators will take over, in order to keep your data and applications available. Your data and applications will be available from our backup location in Germany or in the Netherlands in case of long-lasting failure.

Sustainability is an important aspect for Systemec. All (new) projects are focused on being as ‘green’ as possible, with as low as possible emission of CO2.
The datacenter in Venlo is developed on basis of a PUE <1.2. This low PUE value is realized by using a very innovative cooling technique, free air-cooling. This cooling technique is provided by a German enterprise, which received the “German Datacenter Innovation price” for this concept. The German government uses this concept frequently at the moment. The Systemec datacenter in Venlo is the first datacenter in the Netherlands, which has been build by using this new technique. Also the rest heat will be made fit for reuse.
The power supply is on basis of green power. Furthermore, our emergency energy supply is based on a unique concept. The emergency energy supply is based on a new development of MAN-engines. This type of engine is appropriate for usage with liquid gas and possibly diesel, which could be mixed together and used. One calls this a “hybrid”-engine. In normal cases liquid gas will be used, to minimize the CO2 emission. By using this principle, the datacenter will also run on a free-air-cooling system during power emergencies. Diesel will only be used when the regular supply of liquid gas is not possible. Architectural facilities are based on 100% recycling materials. The roofing materials are treated with white plastic, which results in a lower temperature in the datacenter resulting in less cooling actions. Furthermore, the systems are constructed modularly, in order to reduce losses to a minimum.
